Beschrijving keerzijde Gold foil reverse with an elaborate embossed central vignette of two Antillian Crested Hummingbirds in flight around a large Yellow Elder blossom set within a circular guilloche frame, the composition surrounded by foliate sprays and rendered entirely in raised relief. The denomination numeral 30 appears in ornate shield-shaped cartouches at each corner, with decorative floral garlands running along the lower margin. The issuer's name is inscribed across the top banner and the value legend occupies a rectangular panel at the foot of the note.

Antigua & Barbuda gained independence from Britain on 1 November 1981, and this note was part of a commemorative issue marking that event. Gold foil construction places it firmly outside normal currency production — these were never intended for circulation and were issued as collectibles from the outset.

The denomination is nominal; no legal tender infrastructure existed to support a $30 face value in everyday use.
