| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in blue on white paper, the obverse centers on an intaglio vignette of the De Javasche Bank headquarters building in Batavia, set within an ornate scrollwork arch and framed by elaborate guilloche rosettes at each corner bearing the numeral 30. The issuer's title DE JAVASCHE BANK and the promise clause BETAALT AAN TOONDER are inscribed in bold letterpress at the top, with the denomination DERTIG GULDEN in a decorative panel below the central vignette. The place and date of issue appear at lower left and right respectively, with two manuscript signatures below their respective titles DE SECRETARIS and DE PRESIDENT, and the printer's imprint of the American Bank Note Company at the foot. |
