| 表面の説明 | Right-facing uncrowned effigy of King Charles III by engraver Steven Rosati, rendered in high relief against a frosted field characteristic of the reverse proof finish. The king is depicted in a contemporary portrait style wearing a suit and tie, with fine detail evident in the facial features and collar. The legend CHARLES III arcs along the left periphery and D·G·REX along the right, with the denomination 300 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower rim. The engraver's initials SR appear in small relief at the lower right of the portrait truncation. |

The "Maple Leaf Forever" branding continues the Royal Canadian Mint's long-running platinum Maple Leaf bullion program, first launched in 1988 — one of the earliest platinum sovereign-issue series globally. This 2025 piece marks only the second full year of Charles III's effigy appearing on Canadian coinage, following the transition from Elizabeth II's portrait after her death in September 2022 and the subsequent re-tooling of dies across the RCM's entire catalog.
At .9995 fine, the platinum specification fractionally exceeds the .9990 standard used by most competing sovereign platinum issues.
