Issued to mark the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, this is one of the smallest gold coins produced for the commemorative market — 0.06 g places it firmly in the micro-gold category that Chad's mint program leaned into heavily during the late 2010s. These issues were struck by the Bavarian State Mint on behalf of Chad, a country with no meaningful domestic minting infrastructure, making the "Republic of Chad" attribution essentially a licensing arrangement.
Collectors should note that Chad's CFA franc coinage of this period was produced almost exclusively for the numismatic export market. None of these pieces entered circulation in Chad.
