| Mintage | 1855 - Pattern - Rare |
| Additional information |
Paraguay had no functioning mint in 1855, and this piece — attributed to Bouvet, a French medallist — was among several pattern submissions produced in Europe as the government explored establishing a national coinage. None of the Bouvet patterns were adopted for circulation. The 1855 series exists in multiple denominations and metals, all struck in very small quantities, making any survivor genuinely rare rather than cataloger-rare.
