背面描述	Central field occupied by the arms of the Republic of Peru: a quartered shield displaying a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia, surmounted by a laurel and palm wreath tied at the base with a ribbon. The shield is flanked by a palm branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, forming an open wreath around the central device. The circular peripheral legend reads REPUB PERUANA, with the mint initial CUZ (for Cuzco), denomination 4 R, and assayer initial B disposed around the right arc. The date 1836 appears in the lower exergual area between two dots, indicating the original year of striking at the Cuzco Mint.
