| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Edward VIII, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The truncation of the bust is clean and unadorned. The circular legend reads EDWARDVS VIII D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP. distributed around the periphery. A small engraver's mark DRG appears at the base of the truncation. The design is executed in a restrained, modernist style consistent with 1930s British medallic art. |
