Flanking the central vignette are two circular guilloche rosettes each bearing the denomination '0$05' in bold numerals. The bank name 'BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO' is divided across two ribbon banners at the upper left and upper right corners, with elaborate foliate and scroll ornaments filling the remaining field.
