Obverse description Draped bust of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez facing right, her hair swept back and arranged in long flowing locks, rendered in medium relief against a flat field. The portrait occupies the majority of the planchet surface, with the truncation of the bust visible at the lower edge. As a monoface trial strike, no surrounding legend or denomination inscription is present on this face; the design elements are confined solely to the effigy. The irregular square planchet imparts a distinctive experimental character consistent with a pattern or trial piece.

Reverse description Completely uniface reverse, presenting a plain, unworked copper surface with no design, legend, or decorative element of any kind. This blank reverse is characteristic of a monoface trial strike, produced to test the obverse die impression without committing to a reverse die. Minor flow lines and surface texture from the striking process are the only features visible in the field.
