| Reverse description | A tall date palm occupies the centre of a large oval vignette, flanked on the left by millet stalks with heavy seed heads and on the right by a cotton branch bearing open bolls and buds, all executed in fine intaglio engraving in red-brown. The oval is set within an elaborate geometric framework of guilloche scrollwork and interlocking arabesques that fill the remainder of the note. Denomination numerals in Eastern Arabic and Western Arabic script appear in each corner against the ornate underprint. |
