Obverse description A right-facing portrait of King Mohammed V, attired in a white djellaba, occupies the right foreground against a panoramic vignette of the medina of Fez. Fine guilloche borders frame the composition throughout, with the issuing authority identified in bilingual inscriptions in both Arabic and French. The denomination appears within ornate panels at the lower corners.
