Reverse description The reverse is printed in black with an intricate red and green guilloche underprint forming elaborate lathe-work rosettes and interlocking geometric patterns across the entire field. A central oval vignette contains a finely engraved scene of a group of figures, possibly a family or scholarly gathering, rendered in detailed intaglio. The bank title 'THE HOME BANK' arcs across the top with 'OF CANADA.' below the central vignette, and the word 'FIVE' appears in a lower panel. Numeral '5' counters are set within the guilloche work at left and right.
