Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in green intaglio and centres on a large oval vignette of a Malayan tiger stalking through tall grass, enclosed within a beaded border and framed by dense, symmetrical scrollwork and guilloche rosettes that extend to each corner. Denomination numerals '5' appear at left and right within foliate cartouches. The printer's imprint 'THOMAS DE LA RUE & COMPANY LIMITED, LONDON' is lettered along the bottom margin in small roman capitals.
