| Descrizione del dritto | The supported Royal Arms vignette occupies the centre of the note, engraved in fine intaglio with two lion supporters, a crowned shield bearing the quartered arms of England, Scotland, and Ireland, and the motto ribbon below. Elaborate guilloche underprint in salmon-pink fills the field, with ornate foliate cornerpieces carrying the numeral 5 at each corner, and the word FIVE in vertical letterpress panels on both lateral margins. The bank title arches across the upper portion in bold letterpress, with the promise-to-pay legend, incorporation notices, branch overprint in red, date, and two manuscript signatures appearing in the lower half. |

Solid numeral 5 rosettes appear at left and right within circular guilloche frames, while the bank name and former title are inscribed in large arched letterpress across the top. Incorporation and reincorporation legends appear below the central vignette, and the printer's imprint runs along the lower margin. |
