| Obverse description | The obverse displays the full coat of arms of Barbados in high relief at centre, featuring a shield bearing the bearded fig tree flanked by a dolphin supporter to the left and a pelican supporter to the right, with a helmet and mantling above and a hand grasping two crossed sugarcane stalks as the crest. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 DOLLARS appears along the lower border. The fineness and weight indicators 1 oz and Ag 999 are inscribed in the lower left and lower right fields respectively. |

Barbados replaced its long-running tourist-oriented commemorative program with a more aggressive bullion strategy in the early 2020s, partnering with the Scottsdale Mint in Arizona for much of its modern silver output. This piece is part of that arrangement — a sovereign issuer lending its authority to a coin produced and distributed almost entirely outside the island's own financial infrastructure.
