Barbados replaced its long-running tourist-oriented commemorative program with a more aggressive bullion strategy in the early 2020s, partnering with the Scottsdale Mint in Arizona for much of its modern silver output. This piece is part of that arrangement — a sovereign issuer lending its authority to a coin produced and distributed almost entirely outside the island's own financial infrastructure.
