Operation Junction City was a large-scale U.S. and South Vietnamese search-and-destroy campaign conducted in Tây Ninh Province from February to May 1967 — the largest airborne assault the U.S. Army had executed since the Korean War. Liberia's long series of commemorative issues honoring American military history was a deliberate revenue strategy, aimed squarely at the U.S. collector market rather than domestic circulation.
