| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Barbados centered in the field, supported on the left by a dolphin and on the right by a pelican, both rendered in fine relief. The shield displays the pride tree (bearded fig) flanked by two red pride flowers, surmounted by an arm and hand grasping two crossed sugar cane stalks. A scroll beneath the supporters bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The date is divided as 20 and 22 to either side of the coat of arms, each numeral accompanied by a small trident symbol, while the legend BARBADOS appears along the lower rim. The design is framed by a beaded border. |
