Reverse description The obverse die presents the coat of arms of the Republic of Rwanda centrally positioned in the field, consisting of a triangular shield bearing agricultural and symbolic implements, flanked by two crossed flags on staffs surmounted by a bird with outstretched wings. The numeral 5 appears prominently above the arms in the upper field. The legend CINQ · FRANCS arcs around the upper periphery, while REPUBLIQUE RWANDAISE is inscribed on a scroll across the shield, and the motto LIBERTE · COOPERATION · PROGRES curves along the lower portion of the arms.
