Additional information

Czechoslovakia's first coinage series required extensive trial striking before production standards were finalized, and the 5 haléřů denomination saw multiple experimental compositions tested in Prague during the early 1920s. This bronze alloy — leaner on zinc than many contemporary European issues — appears to have been evaluated against aluminum and iron alternatives before the final specification was settled.

Trial pieces from this program rarely escaped the mint in any official capacity.
