| 表面の説明 | Left-facing crowned bust of King Béla IV of Hungary, depicted bearded and wearing a large ornate crown with long flowing hair falling over the shoulders. The effigy is rendered in a bold, stylized medieval manner with fine detail on the crown and facial features. A beaded border frames the design, with the Latin legend arcing around the upper periphery commencing with a cross pattée at lower left. |

This piece is a commemorative issue, not a circulation strike — it was produced to mark the 1908 millennial anniversary of Béla IV's reign, the Árpád king who oversaw Hungary's reconstruction following the Mongol invasion of 1241–42. The Austrian-controlled mint at Kremnitz handled production, and the coin was issued under Franz Joseph I, who had particular political interest in projecting dynastic continuity with medieval Hungarian kingship.
The .999 fineness is unusually pure for a crown-era issue and points deliberately to commemorative intent rather than monetary function.
