Opmerkingen

Thomas De La Rue has printed Turkmenistan's manat series since the currency's reintroduction in 2009, when the Central Bank redenominated at 5,000 old manat to one new — one of the more aggressive redenominations of the post-Soviet period. The 2012 dated notes were part of a consolidation of that new series rather than a response to any monetary crisis.

De La Rue's optical variable ink application on the lower denominations of this series is notably restrained compared to higher values, consistent with the bank's tiered security specification across the manat range.
