| 裏面の説明 | A panoramic cityscape of Nakhchivan is depicted in the central field, featuring historic architectural landmarks including an ancient mausoleum, fortress towers, and a multi-arched stone bridge rendered in fine detail. The dates '1924' and '2009' appear in the upper field flanking the skyline, commemorating the 85th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The legend 'NAXÇIVAN MUXTAR RESPUBLİKASI' arcs around the upper periphery in Latin script, and the inscription '85 il' (85 years) is prominently displayed in the lower field. The design is framed by a partial wreath of olive branches along the lower border. |

Nakhchivan is an exclave of Azerbaijan separated from the main territory by a strip of Armenian land — a geopolitical anomaly that dates to Soviet border decisions of the early 1920s and became acutely significant once the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict severed overland transit routes in the late 1980s. The autonomous republic has issued its own commemorative coinage through the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, a practice that reflects its distinct constitutional status as an autonomous republic within a republic.
