| Obverse description | Green note centred on a large oval vignette of the Polish crowned white eagle on a red shield, rendered in intaglio against a guilloche underprint. The denomination numeral '5' appears in oval cartouches at upper left and upper right, with the title 'MAREK POLSKICH' arched across the top. Two columns of letterpress text flank the central vignette: the left panel carries a German-language warranty of the Generalgouvernement Warschau dated 9 December 1916, and the right panel contains an anti-counterfeiting warning in Polish; the date '1917' and two facsimile signatures appear along the lower margin. |
