Obverse description The face is printed in blue, purple, and black on a dense multicolour guilloche underprint, with large numeral '5' at each of the four corners. The inscription 'ALLIIERTE MILITÄRBEHÖRDE' runs across the top border within a dark letterpress band, while 'IN UMLAUF GESETZT IN DEUTSCHLAND' and 'FÜNF MARK' appear in bold purple letterpress across the face, with 'SERIE 1944' printed at left and right centre.
