| Obverse description | Brown and yellow note with an ornate letterpress border enclosing a central guilloche vignette bearing the denomination numeral '$5' within a circular cartouche. The issuer's name 'BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO' appears in a curved banner across the upper portion, flanked by decorative scroll motifs and the numeral '5' repeated at each corner.
