| 备注 |
The Banco de México was established in 1925 as the sole bank of issue, ending a chaotic period during which dozens of private and regional banks had printed competing currencies — many of them worthless by the time the Revolution concluded. This 5 Pesos note belongs to the institution's earliest emission series, produced by the American Bank Note Company, which had long-standing relationships with Latin American central banks and handled a substantial portion of Mexico's early federal note production.
The eleven-year date span reflects reissues from the same plate series rather than substantive design changes. Notes from the early 1925 printings carry slightly different serial number prefixes and were issued in smaller quantities than later runs.
