At centre-right, an intaglio portrait vignette of Justo José de Urquiza faces three-quarters left, with his name inscribed below. The upper portion carries the full title legend 'LETRAS DE TESORERIA PARA CANCELACION DE OBLIGACIONES DE LA PROVINCIA DE ENTRE RIOS – FEDERAL', with the maturity date 'VENCIMIENTO 30 DE JUNIO DE 2003' and bearer clause 'AL PORTADOR' at centre-left, below which the denomination 'CINCO PESOS' is printed in large letterpress.
