| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central portrait vignette of Dardo Rocha, rendered in intaglio style against a fine guilloche underprint in green and ochre tones. To the upper left, the provincial coat of arms of Buenos Aires is printed in red, with the large numeral '5' in the upper left corner and again in red to the right. The heading reads 'PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES' at top, with the instrument described as 'LETRA DE TESORERÍA PARA CANCELACIÓN DE OBLIGACIONES (PATACÓN)' and references LEY Nº 12.774, with the inscription 'CINCO PESOS / VALOR NOMINAL' at the foot. |
