备注	Banco de Ahuachapam was one of several Salvadoran regional banks chartered under the 1880 banking law, which briefly allowed private institutions to issue their own currency before the government progressively consolidated that privilege. The American Bank Note Company supplied most of these provincial issuers — the plates were expensive, and ABNC's engraved security printing was considered beyond local forgery capability, which was the entire point. The "189_" dating convention indicates the year was completed by hand at issue, making precise dating of surviving examples dependent entirely on whatever ink survives in that field.
