| Obverse description | The Mexican national arms occupy the aluminium bronze centre, depicting the Aztec eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus and grasping a serpent in its beak and talons, rendered in high relief with fine detail. The device is set within a plain inner border separating the centre from the stainless steel outer ring. The legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper portion of the outer ring in incuse Latin lettering. Decorative scrollwork and foliate motifs adorn the lower arc of the outer ring. |
