At centre, an engraved circular vignette presents the Gibraltar coat of arms — a castle with a key below within a shield — surrounded by a scroll bearing the motto MONTIS INSIGNIA CALPE, with large ornate £5 cipher medallions to either side. The denomination FIVE POUNDS is lettered in a panel at the foot of the design. |
