Opmerkingen

The 2005 Falkland Islands series replaced an earlier issue that had remained in circulation since the mid-1980s — a notably long run for a small-territory note. De La Rue's involvement here is unremarkable in itself; they have printed Falklands currency since the first modern series, a relationship that has never changed hands.

The Islands' population at time of issue was under 3,000, which keeps print runs for any Falklands denomination extremely low by any standard measure. That limited circulation base, combined with the absence of heavy daily transactional use, means worn examples are proportionally rarer than for most comparable territories.
