| Anmerkungen |
The Falklands pound has been pegged to sterling at par since the islands began issuing their own notes, and this 1951 issue reflects that dependency in more than monetary terms — De La Rue produced the entire series under Crown Agents supervision, with the design closely following the template applied to other British colonial dependencies of the period. What distinguishes the Falklands issues from the broader colonial catalogue is the extremely limited population served: the islands had fewer than two thousand inhabitants in 1951, so print runs were correspondingly small and genuine circulation wear is uncommon.
P#6 is the last of the George VI colonial issues before the queen's accession necessitated a new series.
