Obverse description Letterpress printed in black on plain paper. The upper portion carries the serial number above a rectangular frame enclosing the denomination in text. The lower half bears the full promissory and authorisation text with manuscript signatures; a floral ornamental device appears to the left, with an additional countersignature to the right. Two impressed dry-stamp seals serve as security measures flanking the central frame — the royal cipher of the king to the left and the royal coat of arms to the right.
Obverse lettering No. 384811 Fem Rigsdaler Dansk Courant Paa forlangende erholder Ihændehaveren af denne Assignation ved Foreviisning Fem Rigsdaler dansk Courant, enten ved den Slesvig- Holsteenske Casse i Rendsborg, eller ved den Kongelige Amtstue i Aalborg. Imidlertid validerer denne Assignation, indtil samme vorder indkaldt, imellem Mand og Mand, for 5. Rigsdaler dansk Courant modtages saaledes i alle Kongelige Oppebörseler. Udstædt i Fölge den allerhöyeste Forordning af 18. September 1807. og efter Autorisation fra den Kongelige Regjerings Commission. Christiania, den 1. October 1807.
