| 备注 |
The P#33 series falls within the post-independence consolidation of Indian currency, when the Reserve Bank continued issuing notes under the authority of the new republic while retaining much of the physical design vocabulary inherited from the colonial period. The transition was deliberate — abrupt visual change would have unsettled a public still adjusting to independence and partition.
The signature varieties across this series are what drive collector interest. Notes signed by B. Rama Rau, K.G. Ambegaokar, and H.V.R. Iengar command different premiums, with the Ambegaokar signature being the shortest tenure and consequently the scarcer find.
