| Opmerkingen |
ORI II — Oeang Republik Indonesia, second series — was issued as the fledgling republic fought to maintain economic coherence against the Dutch military actions of 1947. These notes were printed domestically under wartime conditions, which explains the inconsistent print quality and paper variation collectors frequently encounter across the series. The Indonesian government had almost no access to professional printing infrastructure, and production was dispersed to avoid disruption.
Genuine circulated examples often show handling damage consistent with active wartime use. Forgeries existed even during the period of circulation.
