| 裏面の説明 | Unadorned green paper reverse enclosed within a single-rule rectangular border, with the serial number printed twice — at the upper left and lower right — in large bold numerals. The series letter 'C' appears at the left and right centre margins. Three blocks of text in German and Swahili occupy the centre field: a guarantee clause stating that the note's value is fully deposited with the Imperial Government of German East Africa, its Swahili equivalent, and a counterfeit warning prescribing a minimum two-year penal sentence.
