| Reverse description | Entirely purple on a light ground, the reverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette of intricate lathe-work surrounded by an octagonal frame with radiating floral engine-turning. Flanking the central vignette are two smaller quatrefoil guilloche panels, each enclosing a denomination numeral — Bengali ৫ at left and Arabic 5 at right. The issuer name appears in both Bengali and Roman script within a rectangular panel at the top, with denomination inscriptions in Bengali at lower left and English at lower right. The outer border repeats a microtext band reading BANGLADESH BANK. |
