Part of a series issued by Samoa commemorating the Ten Commandments, this coin was produced under a licensing arrangement typical of the Pacific island commemorative trade — where sovereign mint rights are leased to private distributors, chiefly the Coin Invest Trust of Liechtenstein. Samoa itself has no mint; production almost certainly occurred in Europe.
