Vanuatu's Reserve Bank has issued a long-running series of wildlife-themed silver pieces aimed squarely at the collector bullion market, with the "Persian Exotic" falling into that category — a domestic cat breed elevated to legal tender status by a Pacific island nation that has no particular connection to the subject. The coins are struck under licensing arrangements common to small sovereign issuers who effectively rent their monetary authority to private minting firms, in this case almost certainly produced by a European or Australian contractor.
