The composition shows a four-horse chariot in dynamic profile, with an elegantly robed charioteer seated beneath an ornate canopied parasol adorned with intricate scroll-work decoration. Radiating lines emanate from the background, enhancing the sense of movement and grandeur. The denomination 5元 appears to the left field, while the inscription 国家宝藏·铜车马 (National Treasure · Bronze Chariot) is engraved along the upper arc. A decorative border of stylised scrollwork encircles the entire composition. |
