Opmerkingen

The Antarctic Banknote Company is a private novelty producer — this note has no legal tender status anywhere and was never issued by any governmental or monetary authority. It is a souvenir or collector item, full stop. The "Antarctic Dollar" denomination is entirely fictitious; Antarctica has no currency, no central bank, and no issuing authority under the Antarctic Treaty System.

Polymer substrate and a holographic strip give it the surface feel of a circulating banknote, which is precisely the commercial intent. Cataloging it alongside genuine issues is a matter of collector preference, not numismatic convention.
