Opmerkingen

Banco de la Nación Boliviana was established in 1911 as a state-controlled institution intended to consolidate Bolivia's fragmented private banking sector, which had operated under a loose plural note-issuing system since the 1870s. The four known signature combinations on P#110 reflect successive changes in the bank's senior management during its early years — the Carpentier signatures appearing across three variants suggest a stable term in at least one senior post amid broader turnover.

ABNC production for Bolivian state banks of this period typically involved steel-engraved plates shipped to La Paz for local overprinting of serial numbers and signatures, though on this series those fields were completed by hand or typewriter at the bank.
