Below the main title, the text PAGARÁ CINCUENTA CENTAVOS AL PORTADOR A LA VISTA EN MONEDA CORRIENTE appears in graduated letterpress. A rectangular panel at right carries a notice that the note will be accepted as legal tender at all treasury offices of the Republic, flanked by two denomination counters reading 50. | Opis rewersu | Printed entirely in rose-red on a plain paper ground, the reverse is composed of an elaborate engine-turned guilloche design with a large central medallion enclosing the denomination numeral 50 in white relief. The medallion is surrounded by symmetrical lathe-work rosettes and interlocking geometric panels that fill the entire field to the outer decorative border. The imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK appears along the lower margin in small letterpress type. |
