备注	Angola's 1923 50 Centavos was issued under the Republica Portuguesa authority at a moment when the colony's currency arrangements were genuinely chaotic. Portugal itself was struggling through the early years of its own monetary instability, and the escudo system imposed on Angola was plagued by chronic small-change shortages throughout the early 1920s — precisely the problem these low-denomination notes were printed to address. Pick 63 belongs to a broader emergency fractional series. Notes of this type circulated hard and wore out fast; surviving examples in any decent state are notably less common than the face value might suggest.
