| Obverse description | The Dominican Republic national coat of arms, featuring a quartered shield supported by laurel and palm branches forming a wreath, is centrally displayed in the field. The shield bears a cross, an open Bible, and flags or lances in its quarters. Below the shield, a ribbon carries the national motto in three parts: DIOS, LIBERTAD, and PATRIA. The mint mark 'A' (Paris) appears at the bottom of the wreath.
