| Description de l’avers | The face of this emergency bon de caisse carries the bold denomination "0 fr. 50" at centre, flanked by two circular coin vignettes: at left, the 50 Centimes coin with the legend LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ, and at right, the Semeuse coin of the République Française. The heading "GOUVERNEMENT GÉNÉRAL DE L'A. O. F. / COLONIE DU SÉNÉGAL" appears at the top, with series and number below the denomination, and two manuscript signature lines for the Trésorier-Payeur and the Lieutenant-Gouverneur at the foot. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative floral and geometric letterpress border. |

| Description du revers | The reverse is entirely typeset, presenting a formal legal extract headed "EXTRAIT DU DÉCRET DU 11 FÉVRIER 1917" in bold uppercase at the top, with the denomination "50 CENTIMES" repeated in a panel above and below the text block and vertically in the side margins. The body of the note sets out in full the conditions of forced currency, the two-year redemption clause, and severe penalties for counterfeiting, concluding with the statement "Ce bon de caisse a cours forcé dans toute la Colonie." The imprint "Gorée. — Imp. Gouvt Génal." appears at the lower right, and the composition is framed by the same decorative letterpress border used on the obverse. |
