Obverse description An intaglio portrait of King Abdullah II in business attire occupies the right portion of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint interlaced with arabesque ornamental motifs. The Hashemite royal arms appear at lower right, while Arabic inscriptions naming the Central Bank of Jordan and the denomination in large stylised script dominate the central field. Serial numbers are printed vertically at right and horizontally at lower left.

Reverse description A detailed intaglio architectural vignette of Raghadan Palace occupies the centre-right of the note, with the Hashemite royal arms within a circular frame at left centre, all set against a light multicolour guilloche underprint with decorative arabesque borders. The English inscriptions THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN and CENTRAL BANK OF JORDAN run across the top, while FIFTY DINARS and the bilingual caption RAGHADAN PALACE / قصر الرغدان appear beneath the palace vignette. The Hijri date 1420H and Gregorian year 1999 are printed at lower right.
