| 正面铭文 | BANK OF NAURU 1994 |
| 背面描述 | A male javelin thrower is depicted in dynamic mid-release pose at centre, his body twisted in the throwing action with the javelin extending diagonally across the field toward the upper left. Stylised athletic track lines are rendered horizontally across the lower field, conveying speed and motion. The legend OLYMPIC GAMES arcs around the upper periphery, with the year 1996 along the lower right. The denomination $50 appears in the lower left field. |

Nauru — a phosphate-stripped island of roughly 10,000 people with no meaningful gold mining tradition — issued this piece as a frankly commercial venture, one of dozens of small Pacific nation coinages produced through the 1990s primarily for the collector and investor market rather than any domestic circulation. The 1996 Atlanta Games generated a flood of such issues from issuing authorities with no connection to the Games whatsoever. Legal tender status was nominal at best.
